Skoda is offering £1500 to customers taking part in the scrappage scheme along with government’s £1000 contribution.

Skoda Fabia and Octavia have a further boost, with the carmaker offering £1600 and £1545 respectively on these models.

Robert Hazelwood, Skoda’s brand director, said: “We are committed to maintaining Skoda’s great reputation for providing excellent value.

"With our award-winning cars, personal service and affordable finance offers, we should be the first port of call for anyone looking to take advantage of the government’s scrappage scheme, which is welcome news for the motor industry.”
