Audi enjoyed registrations growth of nearly 12% in 2014, cementing its place as the most popular premium brand.

The 159,000 units it moved equates to 1,336 new car sales per franchised outlet.

An immense range ensures a constant flow of design updates, new trims and model launches to keep customers interested, along with a steady stream of plaudits. 2015 is an important year for Audi, marked by the launch of the new A4, a big player in the growing company car sector, plus a new Q7 seven-seater SUV to suit middle-class families and a flagship R8 supercar at the end of the year.

Franchisees in its 119-location network are satisfied with the brand, rating it 8.3 out of 10 for overall value and return on capital at 7.5 out of 10. Network developments include Benfield building a £5.7 million, 12-car ‘Audi Terminal’-style showroom in Sunderland and Lookers opening a 6.5-acre used Audi dealership near Glasgow at a cost of £3.5m.
