This role would suit someone with experience in an area / zone sales role with a vehicle manager or in a sales manager role for a dealer. You will need to have a very good understanding of automotive retail sales, demonstrate ambition, drive and very strong commercial acumen and communication skills. You will need to be target driven approach and have really strong negotiation skills.
You will be responsible for the successful delivery of the new car and accessory sales target in your area area. You will be tasked with developing a strong manufacturer/dealer relationship offering the necessary support and guidance to support the delivery of mutual objectives. This is a geographical driven role which requires you to gain knowledge and understand the local market including competitor activities as well as building strong working relationships with other field team colleagues.
Previous experience in an area sales role with a vehicle manufacturer
A strong track record in a car dealership Sales Management role
A proven understanding of automotive retailer culture and structure (within the last 5 years)
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Successfully delivered sales targets
Intermediate marketing and promotional knowledge
A full, clean driving licence
Intermediate Excel skills
Be educated to A level standard (ideally degree level)
Be living in Scotland
