Ebay has bought Trade2Trade, a b2b marketplace for motor dealers, along with its parent company for around £222m.
There will be no immediate changes to the way Trade2Trade operate its UK services as a result of the Ebay acquisition.
Claus Hovge Andersen, managing director, said: “Ebay has been looking at our organisation, being particularly interested in our unique dealer management and sales tools which are provided to the Scandinavian and partially the UK motor
industry.
“Ebay sees great potential in our product portfolio."
Kristian Kryel , Trade2Trade sales and marketing director of Trade2Trade UK added: “We are
delighted about this transaction which is really an acknowledgement of the potential Ebay finds in our organisation’s products and our members of staff.
“We are also excited to start exploring the potential synergy effect behind the Trade2Trade and Ebay brands.”
