Honda plans to close its Swindon plant for 50 days next year.

The decision is aimed at cutting the manufacturers production in Japan and Europe by 61,000 vehicles, reports the BBC website.

It means the plant will be shut during February and March.

Honda will also cut production by 21,000 at its Wiltshire plant, where the Civic is made.
