Mapfre Abraxas is to launch four levels of GAP protection (£15,000 to £100,000) for green cars, including hybrids, electric and biofuel cars and selected diesel and petrol models.
The company says this is because their sales are rising fast at the expense of SUVs and other 4x4s.
