Ford is to run a series of sales and driver-based training events to support the launch of two new car models in 2010.

Based at the Henry Ford College in Loughborough, the two training modules taking place in late February and April will involve over 4,000 Ford staff via a series of single-day sessions.

Developed as part of Ford’s established True Blue training programme and delivered by Inside Track, the sessions will be a mixture of classroom and track-based learning, involving up to 200 people every day.

The February course focuses on new model enhancements, new technology, finance packages and “inspiring the sales team prior to the spring period”, when sales traditionally increase.

The April event will focus more on the new S-MAX and Galaxy models.

At both events, driving dynamics will form a key part of the training, to help Ford staff gain a better understanding of their models’ performance against those of other marques.
