Peter Vardy said : “A lot of manufacturers have had significant price increases as well as VAT so what will that mean in terms of demand for new and used cars, as well as the price of used cars?”
Vardy also said there would be a shift in sales culture this year with a higher majority of enquiries now coming from the web, rather than walk-ins, which would result in training and processes changing within the group to reflect that.
He said: “Sales executives have got to learn to be better at dealing with the web and the phone than they are at dealing with walk-ins.”
