Mike Whittington, currently director of network operations at Mercedes-Benz UK, becomes its sales director on June 1.
Whittington, who joined the company three years ago, will fill the role previously occupied by Simon Oldfield, following Oldfield’s recent move to become managing director of Mercedes' Customer Services Group.
Whittington started his motor industry career with Peugeot as a graduate trainee, and held a number of sales and marketing positions including field management roles.
He widened his industry experience further after moving to Toyota/Lexus where he was involved in a variety of fields including aftersales, strategy and planning, network development and sales & marketing.
