Marshall Motor Group is to open its second Kia business at its Woburn Road dealership in Bedford.

The site will ne shared with Marshall’s Peugeot business but the group has invested £300,000 in the dealership to upgrade the premises and to provide Kia with its own facilities.

Christopher Walkinshaw, business development director of Marshall, said: “We are delighted to be extending our relationship with Kia less than a year after we opened our first Kia business.

“Our new showroom is in a good location close to the main A421 southern Bedford bypass.”

A little over a year ago, the debt-free Marshall Group announced its plans to take advantage of the trading environment to help grow its business. In the last 16 months, Marshall has added 14 businesses to the group, bringing the total to 54, and now has over 1,750 colleagues in the business.

Work has started on the new facilities and will be completed over the summer ready for the new registrations in September.
