The British Tyre Manufacturers Association (BTMA) has elected David Smith of Continental Tyres as its new chairman.
Smith brings with him a wealth of tyre industry experience having been UK managing director of Continental Tyres since 2007.
Smith said: “I look forward to helping the association develop even further and ensuring that our members’ interests remain at the heart of the organisation.
"By delivering an increasingly effective service, I am confident that we can help our members maintain and improve their competitiveness in both domestic and international markets.”
In his new position, Smith will represent the BTMA on the board of the Tyre Industry Federation
