Recession effect on an independent dealer

Henson Motor Group had been steadily expanding its presence in Newcastle until the 2008 recession hit.

The independent used car retailer saw its turnover plunge by a quarter, and managing director David Wilson took decisive action to preserve the core business.

Here, he tells The Journal newspaper in Newcastle how he now plans to rebuild the business and offer used cars nationwide via the internet.
