Mazda3s recalled for wiper repair

Mazda is to recall 11,354 Mazda3s in the UK to fix a potential windscreen wiper fault.

Globally nearly half a million Mazda3 and Mazda3 MPS will be recalled after the fault was detected in the US.

A Mazda spokeswoman said owners would be contacted by letter from July 12 asking them to get a dealer replacement of a ground wire in the wiper assembly.

The affected cars were made between January 7 and December 22, 2008.
