Mapfre Warranty has appointed Richard Hage as head of sales to help spearhead its growth in the motor and insurance industries.
Hage joins the company from Smart Insurance where he was business development manager, looking after motor industry clients including Jardine Motors and Listers Group.
The announcement comes after the exit of Dennis Foley, who has joined Volkswagen Financial Services as head of retail sales.
Hage has worked in the automotive insurance industry for many years including senior roles at Cardif Pinnacle, GMAC and Capital Bank Motor.
His focus will be on developing business among larger dealer groups, motor manufacturers and alternative distribution channels.
