This year’s AM/NFDA Franchised Dealer Conference will focus on the three areas which keep businesses in business – people, process and performance.
The event will be held on June 14 at the Chesford Grange Hotel near Warwick.
Speakers already confirmed at the event include Stirling Wood, head of skills development at the IMI and AM Awards 2012 winners Jon Mathers, Unity Automotive Peterborough managing director and Amarjit Shokar, Romford Mazda dealer principal.
The event will cover topics across three main areas:
Poor customer service costs the UK economy £15.3 billion a year according to the Institute of Customer Service and that is often linked to unmotivated, unfulfilled and unrewarded staff.
The event will give dealers an insight into the retail world beyond the motor industry, share other ways of empowering and motivating the people who work in dealership as well as demonstrating how apprenticeships and training can be one of your best investments for a business’ future well-being.
A hard-working and dedicated workforce can only be brilliant if it has the best tools for the job. Effective, easy-to-use and transparent processes and systems are essential for a smooth-running business where each member of staff is fully informed. Event speakers will challenge the need for the traditional DMS, finance experts will show how effectively utilised processes can translate into profit and the conference will look at how other industries combine people and process management.
Locate the highest standard professionals who are able to work at their optimum with near-perfect processes and you will discover that their customers are some of the happiest you’ll ever meet and not surprisingly, businesses that strive to achieve this are inevitably impressive profit centres. The conference will look at a number of dealers and external companies who are successfully following this business model on a daily basis.
