Infiniti has launched a new personal assistance service for customers in the US which will grant them 24-hour access to a car concierge for four years.

Each customer that buys a new Infiniti can call the brand’s team of “professional personal assistants” to:

• Book restaurants
• Arrange flights
• Phone to wake you up in the morning
• Book film/gig tickets
• Arrange a round of golf
• Arrange transport
• Tell you the weather forecast
• Plan an event
• Advise on gift recommendations
• Find you a phone number

The service fits with the Japanese brand's intention to create a boutique hotel experience.

It’s unlikely the service will come to the UK, but Infiniti does already employ account managers which are appointed to individual customers to look after their motoring needs.

Infiniti is using a US-based company called MyStar to provide the service which specialises in providing branded personal assistance packages to customers of dealerships and manufacturer brands.

Infiniti

At one stage, Infiniti had more models than dealers, such was the speed of its model roll-out in the UK market.

Having established a more extensive network to handle its model range, which now extends to a choice of seven, its attention is now on responding to consumers who want to consider performance and the planet at the same time.

As a result, the line-up includes the core high-performance petrol models, but there is also the option of hybrid technology and even high-performance diesels.

Infiniti is launching a new global six-year growth plan three years after launching in Europe which will see the brand aim to take 10% of the global luxury market by 2016.

This will include a new compact car in 2014 and a two-seater sports car.

Cars are marketed through the fleet sales team of parent manufacturer Nissan as part of a strategy to achieve 20,000 sales by 2016.

The dealer network now numbers six. Mana Premier Automobiles runs four of them. Infiniti is aiming for 30 in total in the long-term.
