Unity Automotive has acquired Subaru and Isuzu dealership Carstins in the West Midlands for an undisclosed sum.

Cartsins also has a Fiat and Ford aftersales business at the site on Station Road, Balsall Common.

The acquisition takes the group’s number of sites to three with locations in Peterborough and Tredington, as well as boosting turnover to the £25 million mark. It also means Unity is now the largest Subaru and Isuzu specialist in the UK.

Unity also holds the SsangYong franchise at its dealership in Peterborough.

Subaru

Subaru is entering into a busy period of new model launches over the coming 12 months, including entries into vehicle segments which are new for the brand.

The launch phase begins with introduction of the C-segment XV crossover at the start of 2012.

As part of Subaru's global plan to increase annual sales by 40% to one million units within the next 10 years, the product line-up will be bolstered by the introduction of a further three models before 2016.

A hybrid is also under discussion.
