Stoneacre Motor Group has partnered with young driver insurance specialist Marmalade to help the business insure driver between 18 and 24 who purchase a vehicle up to 1400 cc.

The announcement follows on from the group’s 'free driving lessons' programme, which was also aimed at younger drivers and enables customers to take advantage of as many lessons as they require in order to pass their test, at no cost to them.

The partnership will also see Stoneacre become Marmalade's main supplier of new cars for its Fuel and Go scheme.

Fuel and Go offers free insurance for the first year to 17 and 18 year olds when they purchase a new car.

Marmalade's approach to young drivers involves the use of telematics to monitor policy holder driving style and provides access to online coaching and support, which is aimed at improving driver safety.

Shaun Foweather, Stoneacre's managing director, said: “We believe that our ability to provide affordable young driver insurance at the same time as supplying either a new or used car will not only prove popular among a younger audience, but will also help us drive significant additional volume within the business.”
