Cambridge-based dealerships owned by Vindis Group are offering electric bikes as onward mobility options for aftersales customers.

Skoda Cambridge, Cambridge Audi and Cambridge Volkswagen took delivery of eight Hero Eco Hybrid battery-powered bikes and will offer these in addition to service loan cars.

Matthew Wootton, head of business at Skoda Cambridge, who pioneered the project, said: “Cambridge is a city where cycling is a very popular mode of transport. We as a motor group also recognise both the physical and environmental benefits of offering an alternative to service loan cars."

The dealerships have a number of customers who bring their own bikes along when they've booked a service, he said.
