ASE, the dealer profitability specialists, has launched a global consultancy division, called the ASE ProFit Optimisation service.

The new team of 'profit optimisers', head-hunted directly from operational roles, were selected for their "exceptional track record in delivering performance improvement in motor retail".

The new service combines ASE’s insight into the key profit drivers for motor retail, gained over 40 years of analysing transactional data from and providing solutions to thousands of dealers across the world; with the practical hands-on motors experience of the new team.

The profit optimisation service delivers dealer performance improvement and is aimed at dealer groups and manufacturers.

The team is currently engaged engaged in the following tasks:
• in-dealership performance improvement
• dealership turnaround
• consultancy outsourcing & implants

ASE’s chairman Mike Jones said: “We have been working to improve profitability within dealers, groups and manufacturers for many years, but we have now formalised it by creating a specific division within ASE employing exceptional operators rather than consultants, to add to the two existing professional services and business management divisions.”

Head of the new division is Steve Hopewell (pictured), an ex-Pendragon operations' director and owner of a group of dealerships.

He said: "The ProFit Optimisation service goes beyond other consultancy services to leave a long-term legacy as well as create an immediate fix. The profit optimisers have actually made a measurable improvement in performance within dealerships and can go beyond talking about solutions to implementing them.”
