Pendragon has congratulated its Chatfields business in Sheffield after it was named ‘MS Employer of the Year’ at the MS Society Awards 2014.

Recognised for its work supporting employees with multiple sclerosis (MS), the dealership was nominated by its team member Kay Thompson who has worked at the dealership for over 21 years and was diagnosed with MS a year before she joined.

The dealership has reduced Kay's working hours due to her fatigue and created a new post for her with no stressful end of month targets or deadlines, but still made sure Kay felt like a valuable part of the Team.

Kay has also received an ergonomic chair, a bigger PC screen, a desk on the ground floor nearer the toilet, and her own parking space right outside the office door.

Dealer principal at Chatfields, Sheffield, Steve Wright, said: “Kay’s a valued team member and we just set out to be a responsible and caring employer.

“Hopefully this award is testament to our success in achieving this and we’d like to thank Kay and the MS Society for that recognition - everybody in our business will be so proud, it’s quite overwhelming.”
