Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has expanded its nationwide network to 71 sites following the opening of a new centre in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.

The Bleak Hall Van Centre in Milton Keynes has been opened by truck and van specialist Brian Currie, creating five new jobs with more expected later this year.

The purpose-built dealership is located on a 1.2 acre plot, with a five vehicle showroom and five workshop ramps and a VOSA accredited MoT testing area for class four, five and seven commercial vehicles.

Brian Currie is a family owned and run business which began 39 years ago in Newport Pagnell, as a small commercial vehicle workshop. The company now employs more than 150 people and operates nine truck and van dealerships across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire.

Brian Currie, said: “We are continually monitoring the ever-changing demands of the truck and van industry to ensure we offer the very best service.

“Leading the team will be our new brand manager, John Collier, who has been in the commercial vehicles industry for 20 years. We have recruited a new experienced sales team and more roles are expected as we look to build the business.

“This is our first Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles site so we are delighted to be introducing the brand to our portfolio.  It will enable the business to enter new markets and provide a more comprehensive service for van operators in the area.”
