Audi has posted teaser images of its new TT sports car ahead of the Geneva Motor Show on March 4.

The third generation TT takes design cues from the original model from 1998 but has been given a look which Audi’s design team said it more “technical”.

Customers will be able to specific LED headlights, or Audi’s new Matrix LED technology which offers individually controllable LEDs to generate the main beam.

The position of Audi’s signature rings now sit centrally on the hood of the new TT, echoing the design cues from the brand’s R8 supercar.

Interior styling cues are inspired by aircraft, with the signature TT round air vents still in place. The central MMI dashboard system has been replaced with an Audi virtual cockpit, a 12-inch instrument display which can be altered between a digital display and more traditional analogue interface.

More details will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show on March 4.
