Car dealer group Lookers has announced that Richard Walker has joined its board of directors.
Walker has been appointed as a non-executive director of the motor retailer.
He is currently a non-executive director of Unite Group plc and was previously an executive director of Talk Talk, responsible for all distribution channels and delivering the customer experience.
Prior to Talk Talk's demerger with Carphone Warehouse Group plc, Walker spent 18 years with the retailer and held various positions including managing director for Europe and UK chief operating officer.
Phil White, chairman of Lookers, said: "Richard has significant operational expertise in the retail environment with 18 years' experience in a sector focused on customer experience and service, as well as sales and marketing via digital media channels, which will be of great benefit to Lookers.
"Together with all my colleagues on the board, I would like to welcome Richard to Lookers and I believe he will make a valuable contribution to the continued development of the company."
As editor, Tim is responsible for the media content, planning and production of AM's multiple channels (AM print and digital magazines, website, social media and contributing to our events planning). He interviews and writes about as many franchised dealer groups and UK divisions of motor manufacturers as possible, to explore the issues facing UK motor retail and understand what solutions dealers and suppliers are using to overcome these.
