Isuzu UK has appointed a new regional dealer manager for the south east and a new national fleet manager.

Matt Gibson joins as regional dealer manager Honda, where he had a long and successful career working across all areas of the business, from automotive to power equipment. He is tasked with working with dealers to drive sales growth in the region.

Colin Wilson has been appointed as Isuzu’s national fleet manager and he will be looking to boost the pick-up brand’s share of the fleet market to complement its strength in the retail market.

Wilson joins from Northgate Vehicle Hire where he was head of national new business & fleet management.
He will oversee the implementation of a number of new initiatives and product introductions, including new specialist vehicle conversions.

In support of fleet, Isuzu has launched a dedicated new microsite (www.isuzu.co.uk/fleetservices) which shows off its fleet offers, support, servicing options, accessories range and funding solutions.

The appointments follow on from a sales result of 1,000 D-Maxs in March.

William Brown, general manager at Isuzu UK, said: “The attributes of the Isuzu D-Max are well known but its relevance as a cost efficient fleet offering, less so.

“These new appointments reflect the growing diversification of our sales and the level of confidence we have in the pick-up’s appeal to business buyers operating across a wide range of industries.”

The Isuzu D-Max range includes single, extended (with rear-hinged side access panels) and double cab body configurations. Double cab models are available in four specifications: Isuzu D-Max, Eiger, Yukon and Utah. Prices start at £14,749 for the entry-level Isuzu D-Max 4x2 single cab and rise to £23,649 for the top-of-the-range Isuzu D-Max Utah 4x4 double cab automatic.
