The average age and mileage of used stock sold online by Autorola in 2014 fell to 33 months and 22,163 miles, compared with 35 months and 23,849 miles in 2013.

Autorola UK’s sales director Jon Mitchell said: “2014 used prices were very consistent across the year and 5% higher than 2013, which is good news for the increased number of buyers and sellers using online channels.

“For many, we know used vehicle supply has been challenging, but in 2014 our Autofind portal has had an average of more than 12,000 used vehicles for sale at any one time.

“In 2015 the used market has started very strongly with cars being purchased across the length and breadth of the country.”
