Franchised dealers need to build the infrastructure to meet the needs of the consumers' entire car ownership cycle.

Terry Hogan, Motoring.co.uk managing director, said: "Independent garages and fast-fit operators often offer consumers an integrated aftersales experience that franchised dealer’s still struggle to match."

Hogan will be running a workshop at the AM Aftersales Conference 2015 looking specifically at the issue.

It will cover the logistical aftersales' challenges facing the franchised dealer and how some digital brands overcome them.

The workshop aims to show franchised dealers how they can understand customers better and increase their market share.

The AM Aftersales Conference 2015 is taking place on Thursday, April 16 at the Crowne Plaza Heythrop Park in Oxfordshire.

As well as a range of main stage speakers from the automotive sector and beyond, there will be workshops covering a wide variety of aftersales topics with the goal of helping franchised dealers become more profitable.

Further details on speakers and workshops will continue to be announced on the event website www.aftersalesconference.co.uk.
