Holdcroft Group Fleet has been recognised as the best fleet dealer in the UK.

The company was given the accolade last night at the annual Fleet News Awards in London.

The award was presented to group fleet sales director Malcolm Pearson by AM editor Jeremy Bennett in an evening dedicated in recognising the best fleet managers, suppliers and manufacturers in the sector and organised by our sister title Fleet News.

The award citation reads: "A desire to set market-leading customer service standards led to Holdcroft investing more than £1 million in a dedicated fleet centre.

"This purpose-built facility deals with all aspects of fleet business, from order to delivery, which means no services are outsourced to third parties.

"Holdcroft says this gives it an advantage over rivals: the main benefits to the customer are improved communication regarding products, issue resolution, and the ability to offer more added value services if required.

"This initiative has helped Holdcroft more than double its number of fleet customers, which include a number of large national businesses as well as several FN50 leasing companies, over the past two years.
"
"The group holds the franchises for Honda, Isuzu, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Renault and Volvo through its 19 dealerships.

"Its attention to customer satisfaction is typified by its policy to deliver more than 90% of vehicles to customers on a transporter rather than driven to the end-user.

“All drivers love to receive their new car on a transporter rather than driven at the most emotional stage of a new car purchase,” says the company.
Holdcroft has also shown it is prepared to take the lead on industry issues. Significant sales to fleets of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV plug-in hybrid highlighted an issue over how dealerships could claim the Government’s plug-in grant which is available for ultra-low emission vehicles.

"Such was the confusion that Holdcroft’s fleet director was the first dealer to have meetings with the Office for Low Emission Vehicles to clarify the process and assist it in rewriting some of the instructions.

"Several ULEV manufacturers have since confirmed they will use its process in their updated communications to the dealer networks."

And the Fleet News Awards' judges said: “Holdcroft is not simply a dealer that offers outstanding levels of service for fleets; it goes way beyond the traditional call of duty through initiatives such as its consultations with OLEV over admin issues with the plug-in grant. The judges said it showed real thought leadership which benefited the whole of the fleet sector. Holdcroft has a cradle-to-grave approach to the fleet relationship while its focus on detail makes for a true partnership with customers.”
