Car parts distributor Euro Car Parts (ECP) has opened its 200th branch, located in Manchester, under its rapid expansion plans.

The Moss Lane branch will provides approximately 180 deliveries per day to trade customers across Whitefield, Bury, Radcliffe, Swinton and Cheetham Hill.

It will initially be occupied by 38 staff, increasing to 50 within a year. Totalling 60,000 sq ft (5,574 sq m), the Manchester hub takes ECP’s total property portfolio to more than 5,250,000 sq ft (487,725 sq m).

Sukhpal Singh Ahluwalia, founder and chairman of ECP, said: “By 2018 we will have 20 new generation hubs strategically located across England supplying more than 230 branches three to four times per day.

"This network is essential for us to continue to provide an unrivalled, same day delivery service to all of our customers.”

Each hub holds in excess of 36,000 lines of stock, covering 97% of all customer demand.

From 2017, all of ECP’s new generation hubs will be served from its new one million sq ft (92,900 sq m) national distribution centre, currently being developed at Birch Coppice, Tamworth.
