Infiniti is launching new connected services which will enable owners to gain a monthly vehicle health report.

The Japanese premium brand will launch Infiniti InTouch Services with the new Q60 sports coupe, which goes on sale this autumn across Europe.

Its services include the vehicle health report, which gives a monthly update on the status of ABS, airbags, brakes, engine, oil pressure and tyre pressure, and a reminder notification when a vehicle is due to scheduled maintenance.

Other services include the ability to check the latest available position of the vehicle via a smartphone or computer, the ability to remotely activate the horn and lights to help locate it in a car park, and functions to call for help if it suffers a breakdown or to track it following a theft.

Q60 owners will be able to access certain vehicle functions remotely using an Infiniti InTouch Services App, which interacts directly with the car.

Drivers can activate Infiniti InTouch Services and use them through the Q60, smartphone or personal computer.

Infiniti said: “The new infotainment features, which ensure Infiniti remains competitive in the premium connectivity arena, improve comfort, convenience and safety, and reflect the brand’s strategy towards customer-centric and premium mobility services that give confidence to the driver.”

With faster processing power, Infiniti InTouch can now manage over 250 programmable settings for engine, suspension and steering (accessed through the Drive Mode Selector), seat position, audio and navigation, as well as heating and ventilation. The preferred settings for three drivers can be stored on the Infiniti Intelligent Key.
