A retired couple from Peterborough have won a Mitsubishi Outlander worth more than £30,000, courtesy of The Caravan Club.

Unity Mitsubishi on Newark Road, presented Stephen and Margaret Forster with a new GX4 2.2 DI-D manual Outlander after entering into the competition run by The Caravan Club, in February.

Retired headteacher Stephen Forster, 63, (pictured) said: “We entered the competition but never thought we would win, so it’s brilliant. I’ve taken it for a test drive and it’s a lovely car, I’ve never driven anything like it. It’s got a sat nav, a reversing camera and cruise control – it’s just amazing.”

Lauren Groves, who was at the handover representing The Caravan Club, (pictured, far right) said: “As part of the prize, Mr and Mrs Forster also have a year’s membership to The Club, so we hope they will consider caravanning in the future – especially now they have a towcar that was commended as a “large, comfortable vehicle that gives a reassuring feel” by the Judges at our Towcar Of The Year Awards 2015.”

The winner was drawn out of a hat.
