Big Motoring World plans to expand and create more than 300 new jobs in Kent.

The Kent-based dealership, which claims to be the UK's largest independent seller of BMWs and Mercedes-Benzes, has been trading for more than 20 years.

In the first two quarters of 2015, the company witnessed record sales figures and growth across all three car sales sites in West Malling, and both Canterbury branches. The group has plans to expand its activities to other sites over the next four years.

The group’s expansion will enable the retention of 250 jobs in Kent and the potential to increase the number of employees to 550 by 2019.
The firm claims the expansion will also support a wide range of other businesses in Kent and contribute to the local economy.

Peter Waddell, founder and CEO of Big Motoring World, said: “We are delighted with how the first phase is progressing and we are looking forward to working with the relevant councils in the months to come.

"Our expansion will help propel the business into the next stage of its development. We are excited about providing more job opportunities in Kent and becoming one of the key employers in the area.”

The award-winning used car retailer will also be expanding its apprenticeship scheme to provide opportunities and skills training for young people in Kent.
