Charles Hurst is set to build a new multi-million pound Jaguar Land Rover dealership in Belfast.

It will be on the Boucher Road at the former headquarters of drinks giant Diageo .

The group, part of Lookers, has submitted a full planning  application for a dealership and workshop at an existing site.

"As Northern Ireland's leading  car retailer and aftersales groups, Charles Hurst has invested significantly in its flagship Boucher Road site and has further exciting and ambitious plans for the future.

“Representing some of the world's most prestigious car brands, we are always looking at ways to enhance the experience of customers and we hope that the vision which we have outlined for the site will be well received," the spokesman told the Belfast Telegraph

The new site will have showrooms for both brands, along with an aftersales area.

Charles Hurst currently operates a Land Rover showroom on the Boucher Road.

The new flagship garage will sit across from Charles Hurst's main motor trade retail site with more than a dozen franchises.
