Corkills Volkswagen has turned to the local press to source a very particular used vehicle ahead of the official opening of its new showroom.

The Southport business is set top officially open its new facility on June 23rd and has appealed for the owner of the town’s oldest Volkswagen vehicle to get in touch via the pages of the Southport Visitor newspaper.

By way of a reward, the dealership will offer the owner of the classic VW the chance to test-drive one of its range-topping models for a weekend.

Speaking to the Southport Visitor, Corkills Volkswagen’s brand manager, Jacqui Kaye, said: “Entries are already coming in and we expect the competition to be very popular among Volkswagen enthusiasts. Who knows what the winning car will be? It could be an early Beetle, a camper or even a Karrman Ghia, but we’re definitely looking forward to finding out.”

Corkills’ new showroom has space for eight Volkswagen vehicles and offers visitors improved hospitality within its servicing area.
