Peter Vardy Group awarded both dealership achievement and individual contributions to the business at an annual charity ball celebrating its 10th anniversary.

Over 600 people attended the black tie ball held at Stirling University which also marked the group’s 10th anniversary and succeeded in raising over £2,000 for the Fields of Life charity in Uganda.

The Group’s CarStore in Glasgow secured the Dealership of the Year award with its Edinburgh BMW retailer taking home the award for Best Guest Experience and the Aberdeen Jaguar Land Rover dealership winning the “Giving Back” accolade.

Account Assistant Alison Gilchrist, who is based in Peter Vardy’s Vauxhall Motherwell dealership, was recognised for her ideas in the company’s War on Waste campaign with the Partner Award.

She said: “To be recognised for my work in reducing waste and inefficiencies was a fantastic honour, and it was a wonderful night for everyone involved.”

The group’s chief executive, Peter Vardy, said: “It is important to take time to reflect on our successes as a group, and to raise money for Fields of Life, a very deserving charity.

“The ball was a roaring success, and carries on the Vardy tradition of giving back wherever we can.”

The awards event and anniversary celebration kicked-off with a traditional bagpiper and guests enjoyed entertainments from a jazz band and magicians.

Peter Vardy and Sir Peter Vardy usedc the event to address guests about the group’s recent successes and how far the company has come since its first day in Vauxhall Perth 10 years ago.

Event organiser, and head of the group’s people department, Lauren Wilson, said: ''The night was a great success. It was clear to see everyone was having a great time, and the event was a good opportunity for all teams across Scotland to come together and celebrate 10 amazing years of Peter Vardy.''
