Clive Brook Volvo is backing the Olympic medal-winning Brownlee brothers with sponsorship of an annual triathlon event hosted by the pair.

The Huddersfield-based retailer will be a supporting partner of this year’s Brownlee Tri, which will be held at Harewood House, near Leeds, and hosted by Olympic and Commonwealth Champion brothers Alistair and Jonny Brownlee.

Competitors will get the chance to run the routes which the Brownlees regularly train on, as well as riding on the same roads as the Tour de France peloton during the event on September 24.

And Clive Brook will be exhibiting at the triathlon as well as taking a fleet of Volvos liveried with the Brownlee Tri logo to shuttle participants to and from collection and drop-off points surrounding the venue.

Clive Brook Volvo managing director, Clive Brook, said: “Following successful customer events with British UCI Continental cycling team, Madison Genesis, we wanted to further support local sporting events and the Brownlee Tri was the perfect fit as many of our customers are keen sports enthusiasts.

“Returning from Rio with both the gold and silver medals, Alistair and Jonny’s Brownlee Tri is another example of their incredible prowess as triathletes.

“It enables beginners, youths, teams and even the most seasoned triathletes to get involved in the discipline surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of Yorkshire.

“It’s a real pleasure to support this year’s Brownlee Tri in what has been an historic year for the Brownlee Brothers. From everyone at Clive Brook we wish all participants the best of luck.”
