JCT600 has completed the first phase of a six-month project to redevelop its Bentley Leeds showroom – making the facility more spacious and energy-efficient.

The Leodis Court showroom on Gelderd Road, Leeds, has undergone various developments in its 20 years as home to the brand in the city but the introduction of new models, including the Bentayga SUV, meant that additional space had to be added.

While taking allowing for showroom capacity of nine new and 11 pre- owned Bentleys with a further 10 vehicles displayed on the forecourt the new space features lighting and temperature control systems which can be remotely controlled to reduce energy costs and improve environmental efficiency.

Comprising two mirror image showrooms with a central drive through, the dedicated showroom for new cars is now complete and work is about to start on the second showroom for pre-owned vehicles.

The work, being undertaken in two stages in order to cause the least disruption to customers, is expected to be completed by mid-December.

Michael Carr, head of business for Bentley Leeds, said: “In the eight years since our last major refit, the Bentley brand has worked tirelessly, along with its retail network, to be the best luxury motor car retailer in the world and has brought to market a fourth model line with the introduction of the Bentayga SUV.

“By utilising an upper mezzanine floor to create a sales office, the new car display floor space has been increased by around 15% and a new suite of offices has been created for the aftersales team.

“In line with our ambitions, a new corporate identity was launched to create an exceptional retail environment for our customers and this is reflected in our refurbished Bentley Leeds dealership.”

To celebrate the completion of phase one, a number of customers and local businesses were given the opportunity to drive simulated laps of the Nurburgring in a virtual Bentley GT3-R on October 5th.

The best timed lap will be recognised with a VIP trip to Germany to drive a Bentley for real at the legendary circuit.
