Over 6,000 people visited Motorpoint’s Chingford branch as the facility played host to a community Christmas fayre.

The showroom floor of the 400-car site on Lea Valley Road was transformed into an ice rink for the free event which also hosted festive stalls, local food and drink stands together with an open-air funfair.

The Mayor of Waltham Forest, Councillor Peter Herrington, was among those who attended.

Charles Faulkner, general manager of Motorpoint in Chingford, said: “It was great to see so many people from the local area enjoying themselves at the Christmas Fayre at Motorpoint.

“The event has become one of the highlights of the community calendar in Chingford and we can’t wait to play our part by hosting it again in 2017.”

Irene Bull, organiser of the Chingford Village Christmas Fayre, added: “I am extremely grateful to Charles and the team at Motorpoint for all their support in once again making the Chingford Village Christmas Fayre possible.

“They pulled out all the stops to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone who attended and the feedback from those that visited was brilliant. After a well-earned rest I’m looking forward to planning the next one in the New Year.”
