Witham Vehicle Solutions has been named SsangYong Dealer of the Year at the brand’s annual awards event held at the National Railway Museum in York.
Darren Cox, managing director of the dealer based in Witham, Essex, received the accolade from Paul Williams, chief executive of SsangYong Motor UK at a gala dinner hosted at the transport-themed venue.
Williams congratulated the dealership on achieving the best performance based on a number of criteria: sales success, parts and accessory performance, enquiry management, and the launch of the Tivoli XLV crossover.
He said: “Sincere congratulations to Darren Cox and his team at Witham Vehicle Solutions for their performance across the board – sales, aftersales and management. This is a great achievement, and an example to all our dealers on what can be achieved.”
Winners of the Regional SsangYong Dealer of the Year award were also presented on the night.
The recipients on the night were:
- Mark Colclough, dealer principal at Chandlers, Lincolnshire.
- Nigel Hidson, managing director of Hidsons in Rainham, Kent.
- Andrew Dickson and David Wishart, directors of Frasers of Falkirk, Scotland.
- Bernard McCotter and Gerrard Crossin, general manager and sales manager of SERE, Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Commenting on his business’ award, Darren Cox said: “We are absolutely thrilled.

“The SsangYong franchise has been a great success for us since we took on the brand three years ago.
