Farnell Jaguar has been named as the ‘best retailer group 2016’ by Jaguar UK.

Rik Shield, head of business at Farnell Jaguar Land Rover Leeds, the new £10.5 million flagship centre on Scott Hall Road in Leeds, James Boyd, head of business at Farnell Jaguar Bolton and Robert Forrester, chief executive of parent company Vertu Motors, collected the award from Zara Tindall MBE on behalf of their colleagues at a ceremony held at The Royal Dublin Society, in Dublin.

Besides collecting the best retailer group award, Farnell, also had a number of its Jaguar and Land Rover retailers in runner-up positions.

These included Jaguar aftersales retailer of the year for Bolton, Land Rover sales retailer of the year for Nelson Land Rover, with the Leeds team also coming close to winning the Land Rover aftersales retailer of the year and sales retailer of the year awards.

Collecting the award, Robert Forrester, Vertu Motors’ chief executive, said: “I’m exceptionally proud of Farnell Jaguar Land Rover’s performance over the past 12 months.
