Vic Young Ltd welcomed new franchise partner MG Motors UK with a week-long launch event which saw customers pampered in a variety of way.

A free breakfast was served for morning visitors to the Should Shields-based retailer between Monday and Wednesday last week while on Thursday beauty students from South Tyneside College provided manicures and pedicures.

High tea was served to showroom visitors on the Friday ahead of a fun day for families, including a bouncy castle and face painting, on the Saturday.

To coincide with the occasion, anyone who took a test drive in an MG at Vic Young MG was entered into a competition to win a weekend break for two in the Lake District.

Vic Young, managing director at the dealership, which also has a Mitsubishi franchise at its site on Newcastle Road, South Shields, hailed the event a success.

Young said that it “was great to see so many people come along to the celebration last week”.

As well as its MG and Mitisubishi franchises, Vic Young Ltd has an existing used car operation, along with a vehicle rental and commercial vehicles conversion operation.

In its last full accounts, to November 30, 2015, the business recorded turnover of £22 million and profit before tax of £841,722.
