Hendy Group welcomed Ford’s UK director of sales to Portsmouth this week as it officially opened its brand new FordStore facility.

Kevin Griffin officially opened the FordStore following a major investment programme by Hendy at the Cosham site which also features a Transit Centre too.

Hendy is one of just a handful of dealer groups to operate a FordStore which offers the complete Ford range including Mustang and the Vignale lounge.

FordStore dealerships are divided into “Hello”, “Discover”, “Relax” and “Thank you” zones to navigate customers through being greeted, informed, considering offers and being shown and briefed on their new purchase.

Griffin was delighted to see how Hendy has transformed the site to offer customers the very best experience. He said: “The opening is part of our plans to transform the customer experience by rolling out a network of upgraded new-look dealerships across Europe.

“FordStores represent the very best of Ford and offer customers the full range and services in an inviting destination.”

Griffin said that Hendy’s new FordStore would provide visitors with a new kind of buying experience, adding: “Our aim is for customers to have an informative and engaging experience in a stress-free environment.”

Hendy’s investment in the new FordStore location in Cosham comes as part of a wider investment which also saw the creation of a new, larger Kia facility, which was opened last month.

Commenting on the latest addition to the group’s operation, Hendy chief executive Paul Hendy said: “As one of Ford’s leading dealers in the UK we are committed to offering the very best in customer experience and this FordStore is part of an overall investment plan in our facilities throughout the group.

“Portsmouth continues to be a key location for the group and these new facilities firmly establish the city’s importance within the group.”

Paul said FordStore is totally customer focused and has been a huge success at the group’s dealership in Eastleigh with positive feedback from customers.
