3 Toyota Aygo x-cite

Toyota has injected some colour into its Aygo range with the launch of the x-cite - complete with Yellow Fizz paintwork.

The front pillars, door mirror casings and rear bumper insert are all finished in contrasting Bold Black along with the roof in both three and five-door versions of the new addition, which also features 15-inch twin-spoke alloy wheels painted Glossy Black.

Rear privacy glass is also part of the design package.

The interior strikes the same contrast, with yellow seat side bolsters, door panel inserts, air vent surrounds, gearshift knob and carpet mat edging. The instrument panel, centre console and gear lever surround all feature Bold Black inserts and the interior door handles are chrome-finished.

The new x-cite comes as standard with: a seven-inch full-colour multimedia syste; with DAB, MirrorLink and a rear-view camera; six airbags; vehicle stability control; Bluetooth; air conditioning; driver’s seat height adjustment; split-folding rear seats; projector headlights with LED tracers; front fog lights; and leather steering wheel and gear knob trim.

Power comes courtesy of Toyota’s 1.0-litre VVT-i petrol engine, with a choice of five-speed manual gearbox or x-shift automated transmission.

All versions are exempt from annual road tax thanks to co2 emissions ratings of 95g/km for the manual and 97g/km for the auto.

In official testing, Aygo x-cite achieved combined cycle fuel consumption of 68.9mpg (manual) and 67.3mpg (x-shift).

The new Aygo x-cite will go on sale in the UK in July, with prices announced nearer the time.
