Wessex Garages as appointed Claire Andrews as its service manager for its new purpose-built Nissan dealership in Bristol.

Andrews will be the driving force in the service department and oversee 15 members of staff at the new dealership, which will open on December 28.

Andrews said: “The workshop will be cutting edge and will be able to be viewed from the waiting area so all work will be transparent, which is one of our mission statements. We aim to create total transparency and trust for our customers.

“It will be a breath of fresh air to the motor trade as nothing will be behind closed doors. The customer waiting area faces onto the workshop so people will be able to see what is happening to their vehicle. This is an amazing adventure for both myself and the team and we cannot wait to get started.”

Keith Brock, managing director of Wessex Garages, said: “We would like to welcome Claire to Wessex Garages.

“She has a wealth of knowledge after 17 years’ in the main dealer sector. She started as a service advisor and has worked her way up to the position of a service manager, gaining a good reputation and set of skills along the way.

“Prior to her new appointment with us Claire worked as a Service Manager for a major motor brand with a large workshop of 16 technicians.”

Andrews has an AMA (Automotive Management Accreditation) and Level 3 NVQ in Management and Team Leading.

Wessex Garages’ new Nissan dealership is located on Hayes Way at Cribbs Causeway. The 18,000 square foot facility will create 30 new jobs. The group has invested around £5 million in the new site. It will also be a centre for electric vehicles and will be an additional charging point for Bristol.
