Close Brothers Motor Finance has appointed Chris Bosworth into its newly-created role of director of strategy.

Bosworth has been lined up to assist in the shaping of the Close Brothers’ strategic direction as the industry addresses a need for increasing digitalisation, evolving technology and changing customer buying patterns.

He joins the Board of Directors having spent the last three years in the Corporate Development team at Close Brothers Group in London where he worked on a range of strategic initiatives and merger and acquisitions activity for the Group.

Bosworth started his career in investment banking, working with Europa Partners and Hawkpoint (now Canaccord Genuity).

James Broadhead, CEO of Close Brothers Motor Finance, said: “Helping dealers grow and overcome business challenges is a crucial part of our business and is something we will continue to be at the forefront of.

“We are delighted to have Chris on board to work with us and our dealers to help  re-evaluate our current processes and to see how we can offer our dealers and customers the best service possible in the coming months and years.”

Bosworth added: “The motor finance market is facing unprecedented change and ensuring that we have a robust plan in place means we will be able to continue to help our dealers achieve success.”
