MotoNovo has appointed Mark Standish as group chief executive with Karl Werner stepping up to the new role of divisional chief executive of its motor division.

The reshuffle comes just weeks after the announcement that Cardiff-based MotoNovo Finance is planning to increase its headcount to more than 1,000 staff members as it moves into into new finance markets. The motor division will remain the core part of the wider business, having grown lending by 35% in 2015, and has set itself goals for further growth this year.

Werner (pictured) said: “In creating the new Motor division, we have built upon a very strong foundation. Over the last year, we have made numerous appointments to increase the scale and depth of expertise that is benefitting our dealers.

“The market is moving faster and we have to move even faster and help our dealers to do exactly the same."

Within the new Motor division, Werner is joined by Chris Rowthorn as divisional chief operating officer.
