BCA has appointed Dean Hulse to head up its logistics operation as it bids to strengthen its team to support its “ambitious” expansion plans.

Hulse, who has over 15 years’ experience and has held senior roles with TNT and Whistl, joins the business as managing director of BCA Logistics.

He will be responsible for BCA’s full range of services through the whole process of vehicle inspections, collection and deliveries, vehicle demonstrations and refurbishment.

Avril Palmer-Baunack, executive chairman, BCA Marketplace plc, said: “We continue to invest in the best talent in the industry.

“Dean brings a wealth of experience to this role and is well placed to bring a fresh, solution-led approach to our logistics operation.”

BCA’s recent investments have seen its logistics operation become the UK’s largest provider of vehicle remarketing logistics services for the automotive sector.

It now operates a fleet of over 100 multi-vehicle transporters and 1,000 drivers.

BCA handles over 1m vehicle movements a year and has invested in new technology to drive efficiency through the process.

Hulse said: “BCA has ambitious plans for its logistics operation and it is an exciting time to join the business.

“As we continue to provide end-to-end solutions for our customers, BCA Logistics will play an important part of driving change to bring efficiency throughout the supply chain.”
