Tootle has appointed Gordon Tulloch as its new chief executive following the decision by former CEO and co-founder Al Taylor to concentrate on early-stage start-ups.

Tulloch joins the online stocking specialist with a wealth of entrepreneurial and automotive industry experience having held positions such as chief commercial officer at Carland and chief relations officer at Direct Car Finance and at JTK Automotive.

He has also worked at the likes of Jaguar, Porsche GB, BCA and latterly Manheim as digital director, with experience of operating in the UK, Europe, Nordic regions and USA.

Tulloch said: “Tootle has a number of exciting strategic partnerships and technological developments in the pipeline which will help rapidly grow stock on the site and improve dealer interactions with the platform.

“Our expansion will continue with further appointments to develop our proposition and grow the business.”

Tulloch will help lead tootle’s next funding round, following its £1.75m seed round last year.
