Mitsubishi Motors has added four new members of its field sales operation in a bid to support its network’s fleet and retail sales.

Two new retail area managers will be joining the team later this month, responsible for dealers in areas to the south of the UK – taking the team to a total of eight – while the corporate sales field-based team will grow from five to seven with the addition of two new faces.

The brand said in a statement that the changes will result in “a more cohesive approach to both retail and fleet markets, providing further points of contact for dealers and direct supply customers, but also supports the continuation of sales growth for the firm”.

Heading up the newly-restructured team will be Clive Messenger, as head of corporate sales and field operations.

With twenty-four years’ experience within Mitsubishi Motors in the UK, and having worked in a number of key roles including fleet sales manager, area manager, head of corporate sales and used cars, Messenger said that he is ready for the challenge.

Messenger added: “The new changes to the field management team will allow us to spend more time with our dealers to help drive their business forward, share best practices and ensure we maximise the new retail and fleet opportunities.

“By adding greater value and focus to our dealers, we will help to improve their sales, customer experience and levels of profitability.”
