Arsenal star's crash demonstrates strength of Aston Martin

Thursday 1 October 2009, 10:00

Arsenal footballer Niklas Bendtner escaped with just minor injuries after wrapping his Aston Martin DBS around a tree this week.

Photos of the car show it took the brunt of the collision, as Bendtner walked away with a sore shoulder and minor cuts.

Police said the Aston Martin had left the A1 near South Mimms on Sunday morning. No other vehicle was involved.
